I'm tired of this cycle
From the first glance
To the first hello
To the midnight conversations

I'm tired of this cycle
You telling me how great I am
how beautiful and intelligent
asking me questions, trying to get into my head

I'm tired of this cycle
When the real you and me begin to show
and you realise
that my no really means no

I'm tired of this cycle
as phone calls become texts
and those begin to trickle
until you disappear

I'm tired of this cycle
of being good enough
as a soul mate
but not a lifemate

I'm tired of this cycle
of ignoring the still small voice
wanting to do it my own way
and seeing what i want to see

I'm tired of this cycle
I've come round full circle...... again
So i'm home
Back where I truly belong

You told me to guard my heart
but i didn't
now it's broken
as my pearls have been cast before swine

I've given that part of my heart to You
to mend and keep
and to awaken at the right time
because I'm tired of this cycle

These words were inspired by a movie and a conversation with some friends. It seems really muddled up but poetry is not one of my top skills. Bear with me. Hope you had a great weekend, don't forget to vote in Blogville Idols, this week was tight..the contestants took it to a new level.

Remain blessed and highly favoured

well that's the thing about poetry... there's no exact format. I always state this... i love the simplicity of words... And I followed the cycle.. totally understand it...

have a great week ahead!

Dat was nice of course. And i must say the content is quite understandable too. Whatever happen(s/ed), just know YOU come first. Everything other thing is secondary!

Do have a lovely day!

I love the way it came out. Very real and raw - I can feel the tiredness! Thank God for revelation.

@ all: I am smiling, your words have touched my heart. Remain blessed and highly favoured.

@allied:It was actually your comments on diamond's page that reminded me i wanted to put down those words. That is a very important scripture. I've known the logos of it for years but am only just walking in the rhema. Like DG said, thank God for revelation.

As I read it, I became somewhat sad, but you'll soon mend. It is well. I too Im tired. Sometimes I wonder, why things happen the way they do, but this I know, when the main man comes, it wount be a cycle. Have a blessed week.
