Songs that inspire: You are God alone

There is no one like our God. He is God alone, no one can take His place because there is no one who can love us like He can or do what He can do or truly has even done in our lives. There's no question of His greatness. God bless you Pastor Marvin Sapp.

There’s no question of Your greatness,
no searching of Your power.
All the wonder of Your glory,
to You forty years is but one hour.
Your knowledge is all encompassing,
to Your wisdom there is no end;
for You alone are God,
You are God alone.

Your mercy is everlasting,
Your truth is here always.
You are He who was and is, and is to come.
Who is He that can number you day,
You’ve flung the sun to burn in space,
and the night’s moon powers light from day;
You are God alone.

Now unto the King,
eternal, immortal, invisible,
the only wise God,
the only wise God;
You alone are God,
for You are God alone.

Be all glory and honor,
dominion, and power
forever and ever, amen.

Songs that inspire, Life is not hard

Thanks all for the condolence messages. My uncle has been buried and we are moving on by the grace of God. It's still unreal at the moment. This song came up on my iPod this afternoon. I didn't understand all the words and found the video with subtitles in English. I've also put the lyrics in English. I know the title may sound funny to someone who is going through something that feels like you're between a rock and a hard place but life is not hard when we put our hope and trust in the One who knows all and sees all. I'm learning now what it really means to put your hope in the Lord.

Daddy, give us the grace not to give up. To hold on to your promises for You who promised is faithful!

Remain blessed and highly favoured. Thanks Infinity for this song.

Lyrics from www.niglyrics.com

Son of man, listen to me
the aged's word if it doesn't happen at the start
often happens at the end

VERSE 1
No matter how long
the travails of our lives shall come to an end
Men's heart fail for anxiety
because they know not what tommorow holds
God has made a promise
and His promises shall never fail
Its lack of faith
that makes men lose hope
Let the seas and ocean flee
the truth abides still
the source of all things is faith

CHORUS
Life is not hard
Life is not hard for those who believe life is not hard
Life is not hard
Life is not hard for those who believe life is not hard
Life is not hard
Life is not hard for those who believe life is not hard
Life is not hard
Life is not hard for those who believe life is not hard

VERSE 2
the patient always obtain the best
when a man lacks patience
he loses his vindication
Your thoughts towards me better be good my friend
that his thoughts towards you might be of good
In my life, death has suddenly become life
the patient always obtain the best
when a man lacks patience
he loses his vindication
Your thoughts towards me better be good my friend
that his thoughts towards you might be of good
In my life, death has suddenly become life

He will come and save you

Today I am grateful for Bob Fitts and Gary Sandler who wrote this song in 1995. Here I am meditating on and encouraging myself with the words on the 17th of November 2008. Ahh, the words that God has given you, they know no boundaries, no colour, no gender, they will definitely minister to those that the Lord has intended for you to minister to.

This is my testimony this morning. Father, I call upon your name, you said in this world there would be tribulation but I should be of good cheer for you have overcome the world. You said you are the one who saves me, those who know their God are strong and do exploits. I have been tired, weak and afraid. I have made myself sick with worry but now I choose to encourage myself in your word, to encourage myself in your truth that as I commit my plans into your hand, you will make them succeed. You are my strength, my song and my hope so I'm giving it another shot. Thank you Jesus.

Say to those who are fearful hearted
Do not be afraid
The Lord your God will come
And with His mighty arm
When you call on His Name
He will come and save you

Chorus:
He will come and save you
He will come and save you
Say to the weary one
Your God will surely come
He will come and save you
He will come and save you
Lift up your eyes to Him
You will arise again
He will come and save you

Say those who are broken hearted
Do not lose your faith
The Lord your God will come
And with His loving hand
When you call on His Name
He will surely come

He is our refuge in the day of trouble
He is our shelter in the time of storm
He is our tower in the day of sorrow
Our fortress in the time of war

Amen.

The songs we sing.........

It's amazing how one can sing a song so much that it becomes routine and the words seem to lose their power. During worship one day, I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me and ask..."Do you really believe the words you are singing or is it just routine? consider what you are saying and tell me how your perspective of what you are facing changes". That was an eye opener for me and I am making a concious decision to meditate on the words of each song I sing and allow it to truly minister to me.

Today's song is He is able by Morris Chapman...unfortunately I couldn't put it on the playlist but this song has been such a blessing to me.

He is able
more than able
to accomplish what concerns me today
He is able
more than able
He can handle anything that comes my way
He is able
more than able
To do much more than I could ever dream
He is able
more than able
To make me what He wants me to be

God is more than able to take care of all that comes my way. He can handle my issues, my fears and my worries. He can make me what He wants me to be. I love this God.

Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
Because He lives
all my fears are gone
Because I know
He knows my future
and my life is worth living
just because Christ lives

Amen and amen. Why worry about tomorrow..He said, "Be anxious for nothing, pray about everything." I can face the uncertainties of tomorrow because my Lord has already gone into my future and so there is no need to be afraid. My life is worth living because He too lives.

Amen and Amen

Have a blessed weekend. 2008 remains our year of UNCOMMON TESTIMONY.
