that we are growing further apart
we used to be able to talk
about everything
about nothing
but now our conversations have become
stilted, almost rehearsed
I used to think we would be best mates forever
our connection seemed to be just too strong
but somewhere on this journey it seems

headed off in a different direction
whilst the other never noticed
till now
we can never be enemies
i love you too much for that
but we are no longer in the same place
and i'm not just talking geography
i think this relationship is in a different season
