Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
James 5:16
Amazing things can happen in the lives because we prayed. Today's iPray is about praying for the needs of others. For standing in the gap and asking God to intervene in someone else's life. Pray for your family members, pray for your church, pray for your nation. Pray for Australia, pray for Egypt.
But I don't know how to pray for someone else? They don't look like they need prayer? Its funny that those who seemingly have everything going on ok are usually the ones who need prayer most. If you don't know what to say, ask God to meet them at their point of need. To remind them of His nearness. To open doors for them and ask the abundant favour of His life upon them. If they are married, pray over their marriages.
Job prayed for his friends and his circumstances turned around. Answers to our own prayers may be linked to us taking the time to commit someone else into the hands of their Heavenly Father. You can always pray for me that God gives me the strength to keep going : ).

I'm first:
Yesterday night, i remembered i am (not was) and intercessor. I tried to sleep but as i fell asleep i heard someone calling my name in fear. I tried to fall asleep again and then i heard more...
So i forced my eyes open and began to pray in tongues because after all i don't have the Holy Ghost for nothing.
1. I pray for those who need health in their bodies and declare that the life of God is at work in them, the will of God is at work in them. Health is working in them; i rebuke sickness in the name of Jesus, Amen.
2. I pray for those with a faltering faith. I pray the Holy Ghost stirs in them a fire, a hunger for the word of God so that their faith would grow again. I pray that their hearts would be open to hear God afresh and not see him like an old friend whose words you no longer consider special.
3. I pray for those who are afraid and are consumed by need. I pray that they have the understanding that God did not give them a heart of fear but that they have love, power and a sound mind. I pray that they receive the supply of God from their hearts and learn to trust God anew.
4. I pray for those who are worried about family members. I pray they receive understanding that God watches between family members and friends and the love He has for us is so much more than the love we have for each other.
5. For me, that i may love Him more, and trust Him more enough to soar and let go enough to grow in faith and in love.
Thank you Daddy Jesus for answered prayers. I love you Lord.
Reading about Job and how he prayed for his friends was a great revelation to me. Since then, I have realized the importance of intercession.
iconfess: i had the most of my needs and heart's desires met when I prayed for others.

Dear Daddy
Thank you for the opportunity to come before your throne of grace and bring our petitions before you. Thank you for the fact that I can pray to my Father who is always listening and who is powerful enough to make things turn around for my good.
I commit K before you. Give him the strength to come through this loss. Be his strength, be his guide. Wrap him up in your love. I pray for the rest of the family. Give us the strength to pull through this. Remind us that your eyes are always watching over us, You've never taken them off us for one second. I bless and magnify your name. Thank you for Mrs B, hmm...you know best. I know we'll see some day soon.
Thank you for Mrs O, Father Lord God your word says that you are the Lord who heals us that none of the diseases of Egypt shall come upon us. By the stripes on Jesus back we can claim our healing. I ask for your healing power to come upon her in Jesus name. Father Lord God let us hear a good report this week in the mighty name of Jesus.
I commit LO, JN and SN before your throne of grace. Let your will be done in that family. Be their strength, be their guide. Lord, I don't know what the end of the story is but you know. Let your joy be their strength in Jesus name.
Thank you for B, I know the doctors are doing their best. I say thank you because You are bigger than cancer. I say thank you because she has put her trust in you and will never be put to shame in Jesus name.
I commit TS, LL, YO before you O Lord. You said in your word that 'none shall lack her mate'. I pray that the partner that you desire them to share life's journey with be recognised by them. Help them to see beyond the surface, help them to know when they show up.
I pray for people who read my blog. They're your words, speak through them, empower them, strengthen them. Let them see that even though it seems dark in the tunnel you are there with them in Jesus name.
