Psalm 46

Share
This morning when I woke up, I felt led to read Psalm 46. I have been blessed by it and hope to thoughtfully meditate on it all through the day. I pray it will bless you as well

1 God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

3 though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
Selah

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy place where the Most High dwells.

5 God is within her, she will not fall;
God will help her at break of day
.

6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall;
he lifts his voice, the earth melts.

7 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Selah

8 Come and see the works of the LORD,
the desolations he has brought on the earth.

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth;
he breaks the bow and shatters the spear,
he burns the shields [b] with fire.

10 "BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth."

11 The LORD Almighty is with us;
the God of Jacob is our fortress.
Selah

Father today I thank you for pressure, I thank you for deadlines and submission dates. I thank you because they all work to reveal the strength that you have given me. I thank you because they help me to realise that it's never been about me but about you working through me. I thank you because it teaches me to be still and know that you are God. Be exalted through me O lord in Jesus name.

Trials don't come to kill, they come to reveal...

Every time I read this Psalm, it blesses me...

"...He breaks the bow and shatters the spear..." Nothing is too hard for Him, even the heavens are a witness to this. One of the Psalms says, "His creations speak of His glory." And another says, "They speak with one language" (could be the same psalm). In conclusion, I'm in awe of God.

In conclusion I am thankful for the blog family who love God and share the treasures of his word on blogs and comment sections.

The reach and impact of it we may never fully be able to comprehend.

Cheerio, Believer and keep shining.
