starting small, FINISHING GREAT

Share
Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase Job 8:7 (KJV)

Your future will be brighter by far than your past Job 8:7 (CEV)

Though your beginning was small, your latter end would increase abundantly Job 8:7 (NKJV)

Even though you are not much right now, you'll end up better than ever Job 8:7 (The Message)

And though you started with little, you will end up with much Job 8:7 (NLT)

Where you began will seem unimportant because your end will be so successful Job 8:7 (NCV)

Who despises the day of small things? Zec 4:10a (NIV)

Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand Zec 4:10 (NLT)

Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They'll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place! Zec 4:10 (The Message)

Those who have made fun of this day of small beginnings will celebrate when they see Zerubbabel holding this important stone. Zec 4:10 (NCV)

These verses have been in my spirit for a few days as I have been thinking about how far I am from some of the goals and targets that I feel I should have achieved. The key word being I. In some cases, I have not been diligent with the management of my time as I have not give adequate time to the truly important things or as the dear Bishop says, I have not kept the MAIN THING THE MAIN THING!

For some other things, God reminded me that the timetable that runs my life was set up by Him and not me so I should trust that even though I'm not where I think I ought to be, I'm right where He wants me to be and as long as I keep walking with Him, I'll always be where He wants me to be. The key thing is always being at the centre of His will.

Today your achievements, your skills/talents, your education, the status of your relationships, your finances, even your faith may seem small compared to where you want to be or the demands placed on you. Remember that our God is one of increase. It doesn't matter how small what is in your hands is, you have a very big God. If you walk with Him, He will take that small start and enable you to finish great!

A best selling book begins with a single word
You and I started life as a single diploid cell
A cruse of oil saved the widow and her sons from slavery
Some flour and oil saved the widow and her son from starvation

Jesus said, if you have faith like a mustard seed, (it's really tiny! about 2mm in diameter; Wikipedia)you can move mountains (fear, opposition, lack, whatever obstacle is on your way). Believer's paraphrase!

So be still and praise God because you serve a God of UNCOMMON TESTIMONIES. This message was so what I needed right now! Back to work!

This particular one got me, "Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They'll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!" Zec 4:10 (The Message)...

And also when you said, "A best selling book begins with a single word..."

Sometimes within a gigantic message comes a still phrase that directly applies to your life...like these two phrases I pasted...

Thank you Lord...

Wow, it's like Remi and I are living similar lives... lol. That was exactly the stuff going through my mind as September rolled around. I've had to apologise to God for wasting the first seven months of the year by disobeying Him and now I'm so far away from my goals... BUT by His GRACE and help, I know I'll fulfil my plans before the year is over.

Thanks Believer for putting this post up. I especially like "Where you began will seem unimportant because your end will be so successful Job 8:7 (NCV)" and I'm claiming that in Jesus name.

Stay blessed and favoured!
