When God doesn't make sense.....

Share
at least to me anyway!!!

Lord, I love and worship you. I give you all glory for you are worthy of all praise, you are the....
"Forgive H"
"Love H"
"Take H back"
"That's fine Lord as long as you are not talking about H as in H", "that's exactly who I'm talking about"
But H said...."I know"
And H did....."I know"
I am angry, really angry,in short I don't think you know....."I know"
And yet I should..."Yes". "It may not make sense to you but I need you to trust me".

It didn't make sense for Noah to build an ark when no one had ever seen rain before. I can imagine how the servants felt when Jesus asked them to serve water as wine at the wedding at Cana.
What about the army of Israel, walking round the walls of Jericho not even saying a word for seven days?

God told Hosea to marry a woman who would be unfaithful to him but he should still love her anyway (Hosea 1:2; 3:1-2). I wonder what Hosea's pastor would have said when he and Gomer showed up for pre-marital counselling! I'm beginning to learn new things about God, that sometimes He asks us to do stuff that from a natural perspective does not make sense but at those times we need to remember that our God is a God of purpose and He sees things from a different point of view than us but we need to trust Him, really need to trust Him, because it takes trust to walk on a tightrope without a safety net underneath just based on having someone on the other side telling you that you can make it. I want to assure you that if that Someone is Jesus, take a deep breath and walk, don't look down, don't look around, look at Jesus, fix your eyes on the prize, fix your gaze on Jesus. The Bible says we should keep looking at Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.

Personally, I have my own list of instructions, apart from H, anything I think God is asking me to do, I do. It isn't easy and sometimes I must admit, I obey grudgingly, even crying sometimes but God has been faithful and patient and kind and loving with me so I encourage you to keep pressing on and going strong. One thing I know is that it's the same ark that people laugh and mock as you are building will be the very thing that will preserve you in the day of the storm. It is well.

Remain blessed and highly favoured. 2008 continues to remain our year of uncommon testimonies as we have been empowered to prosper whether the enemy likes it or not. We will prosper in spite of bailouts or whatever the FTSE, Nikkei or NASDAQ says, it is indeed well!

Honestly speaking God doesn't make sense to me sometimes...

But I just follow anyways, since His ways are not my ways...and also since He's the one who is El Roi (the God who sees)...apparently I don't have such good sight to see things so clearly...

*sigh*

God does not always make sense to the physical man sometimes...but I know even after grudgingly obeying, I have never regretted listening to Him. At the end, He always make sense...

Thanks for this post...

The bible says His ways are past finding out. Who can know Him? Who can search Him out.
Ask Job, he wanted to understand God so bad he couldn't help but question him. But God replied with a question, which explained all Job needed, that's who our God his. Yes we can't understand him when he tells us to do certain things, but in time we come to see his hand and purpose in our calling.

When I read the title of this post I was wondering what you were going to write about. Now that I have read your post, it makes sense. All we can do is rely on our faith and the knowledge that our God does not fail.

Hope all is well.

I understand you 189% but God's foolishness is wiser than man's wisest wisdom. It would seem impossible or even senseless, but thankfully, He doesn't make us go through more than we can bear. It is well hon.
Have a great week.
