iWorship Wednesdays: Bro Franklin

My sister shared this video with me sometime last week. I think I must have watched it over 50 times since then because I have watched it at least 5 times every day since then. Oh yes, at first I laughed because I think his dance steps are a bit funny. It wasn't condescending, for me he is a modern day David who is not going to allow people's opinions stop him from worshipping His God who is everything to Him.



Below is his testimony. Its part one of two and is also about ten minutes but if you have time please take time to watch it.





 Before becoming a Christian he danced well in the world. So now he has to dance to the King. We have our definitions of what 'appropriate' worship is. Sometimes we think some behaviour is distracting...and maybe it is. Bro Franklin has encouraged me to worship without abandon...whether in my seat or right in front of the altar. The only appropriate worship is that which is done in spirit and in truth. Sometimes that's the only gap between us and our breakthrough. There's no song today. Worship Him the way you know best.

iWorship Wednesdays: How deeply I need you...

need: a requirement, an obligation, a necessary duty

'Like the desert needs the rain,

Like the ocean needs the stream,

Like the morning needs the sun,'

This is a prayer to need Him. If His presence living in me is the breath I breathe then He is a requirement, an obligation and a necessary duty. Not like a chore but an essential part of survival. Lord, I need You to make sense of the senseless, to have hope in hopelessness, for light in darkness. I need You. I can't make it without You.

Refine...hmm because its bitter sweet. I like the refined Product but I don't want the Process. This song reminds me that I need to go through the process. His fire purifies me, it burns what isn't like Him and makes better what is. Dear lord, strengthen me to go through the process in Jesus name.

Yes Holy Spirit, let the rain of your presence fall on me anew. Let your anointing fall upon my life and add the super to my natural. Touch me on the inside. Ignite your fire in my life and renew my passion for life and ministry in Jesus name.

iWorship Wednesdays: Never would have made it

This song was ministered in church on Sunday. I could only say Amen. For I agreed with David's word that 'if it had not been for the Lord on my side....' I can put so much stuff in the gaps. I thank God for His unfailing mercy, unfailing grace, unfailing strength. I never would have made it without Him. I know I'm going to keep on 'making it' with Him.

This song gives me chills. He is indeed a mighty God. Look around you. If God could take His time with the lilies which today are and tomorrow are no more, how much more shall He take His time with me. I am the epitome of His creation. He is my God. Dear Lord, please readjust my vision like that of Elisha's servant that I may see that there are hosts of angels around me. Thank you Joe Praize.

We fear what we do not understand. Life is full of things we may never understand and questions we may never be able to give answers to. I'm beginning to learn that all that I can do is learn how to put my trust in the One who understands all things and has answers to all questions. He is indeed mighty to save. I pray to get to the place that I can say 'Even if he doesn't deliver, I will put my trust in Him.' God bless HillSong for their awesome worship ministry and for this song.

iWorship Wednesdays: Every season

I haven't listened to this song in years and when it came up via Shuffle I kept in on repeat...I just realised that even when I don't understand its wonderful to be loved by One who remains there through changing scenes and seasons. Its hard sometimes to see God as good through the horrible things that happen in life but which season is best...summer for its heat or spring for its newness? All seasons are necessary aren't they and does He cease to be God in winter's chill or autumn's nakedness?...Selah! Thanks Nicole Nordeman..

Hi people

Its the middle of the week, how things going? Trust well. I loved this song even when I didn't know what the title meant. The video has subtitles. I hear she is singing in Kalabari...that's a language spoken in the South South region of Nigeria. Languages are so beautiful because we have that many more ways to praise Our Creator, Our King..there's a part of this song I love so much 'Hold me Lord, lest I fall'. Thanks Ibiso, you're such a blessing.

Whatever happens, we can trust we have a God who knows the number of hairs on our head (even in the weave too...lol!).

I can't seem to get enough of this song. I'm sure it's not new but I didn't hear it until last week. I've been so cold in recent days, in more ways than one but when I listened to this song I was reminded of who the Lover of my Soul was and there truly is no crown that can compare with Him. For me, this song is a prayer, it is who I want to be. Read the words and hopefully fall deeper in love with your Father who is also your Husband..I used to wonder about that but when you love someone there is a way they become your everything. Hi people,

I must apologise, this song was originally by the group Anointed but couldn't get any videos of them on Youtube. I think this group did a good job of presenting the song, meditate on the words if you can. In a world of transient relationships and quickly changing circumstances, I'm glad that there is a constant in my life which is that God is around. The word says that 'He is a very PRESENT help in the time of need'...He is 'always there'. Be blessed.

Hi people

Sorry for the break in transmission. It's been real busy at my end but I felt very guilty for abandoning the blog. Wow..2010 has been a year but I thank God. This song really got me through some hard times this year. Thanks to Ministers Erica and Tina...I'm sure it will bless you as well.

I don't know about you but I have messed up so many times. With God, with people. When I listen to this song, I see myself sitting in a room all by myself musing over what I've done wrong. I hear the voices of the others, the 'good' ones having fellowship with their Father, they are laughing, they are fellowshipping...all of a sudden there is silence as I hear His voice call out...Where is Zoe? I want her here with me. He's always called me, He's always kept His arms open. O Lord, I desperately want to be home with you....always.

It's quite a long song and I haven't included the lyrics but it's a beautiful song that reminds me of the love our Heavenly Father has for us. He knows us as individuals, He knows our names. Our names are inscribed in the palms of His hands. He's calling your name today....will you answer?

Hope your week is panning out great. There are those days when its all dark and gloomy and its not just because its winter, there seems to be no light anywhere. Those days when we can't pray we need to learn how to press beyond the heaviness to praise. This morning I praised God simply because my bus came on time...'its those little things He does that mean so much to me'.
