We've been having a season of prayer and fasting in KICC. Please feel free to join us in church or online (www.kicc.org.uk). I just felt led to share the prayer points from yesterday's prayer session. You have Pastor Dipo Oluyomi to thank for them. I believe that God is working and meeting us all at the point of our needs.
Psalm 23
The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
I decree and declare that because the Lord is my shepherd, I will not lack any good thing, financially, spiritually, mentally, emotionally, materially, physically. I shall not lack the resources I need to achieve my destiny in Jesus name.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
I declare that because the Lord is my Shepherd, He will guide me to the best places for me. He will make me lie down in green pastures, leading me to my place of breakthrough and testimony. His quiet waters speak of creativity and rest. There is no quiet in war, thank you because the WAR is over and rest is my portion.
he restores my soul
No more wahala (trouble) in Jesus name. I declare that because the Lord is my Shepherd I receive divine restoration of ALL that the enemy has stolen from me. Favour, blessing, peace of mind, joy, glory, finance, all that belongs to me from the spirit realm I receive back in Jesus name
He guides me in paths of righteousness, for his name's sake.
I declare that because the Lord is my Shepherd, anything that will make me stumble and fall is removed from my way in Jesus name. I am walking in the righteousness of God.
Even though I walk, through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
I declare war against fear. I will fear no evil, no evil shall come near my dwelling or that of my family. I shall live and not die to declare the goodness and glory of the Lord. I know that you are with me.
You prepare a table before me, in the presence of my enemies.You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Because the Lord is my Shepherd, I will prosper in the presence of my detractors and all those who are plotting against me. I will flourish in the land of my 'captivity' like Joesph. Father, thank you for a new anointing of joy, grace, love and peace.
Surely goodness and love will follow me,all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
I decree and declare that every day for the rest of my life God's goodness and mercy shall follow me. The nothing broken, nothing missing power of God is provoked over my life in Jesus name.

A season of prayer: Day 41
A prayer for days when I try to pray but no words proceed from my lips.
Help me Jesus! Help me Father! Help me Holy Spirit! Remind me of the truth of your word that you are here with me, in this and that you will get me through this. Remind me of your love for me so that I can continue to trust you and your word. Remind me that there is surely an 'After this'.
Amen.
The Spirit then lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness and in the anger of my spirit, with the strong hand of the LORD upon me. I came to the exiles who lived at Tel Abib near the Kebar River. And there, where they were living, I sat among them for seven days-overwhelmed. Ezekiel 3:14-15
Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations,I will be exalted in the earth." The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Selah Psalm 46:10-11

A season of prayer: Day 40
A prayer when I need to be still and know that He is God
2 eyes that see
2 ears that hear
2 feet that enable me move around, even though one is a bit swollen, still grateful I can walk unaided!
Lips to speak and apply gloss to
10 fingers and 10 toes
Heart, Lungs, Pancreas all functioning as God intended
I can do my number 1 and 2 by myself
Father, I thank you, you are worthy to be praised. I will praise you from everlasting to everlasting. Thank you for reminding me about these little things that I take so much for granted. You are worthy to be praised.
Father today I pray for the grace to be still and remember that you are God. I am not God, my parents are not God, my employers are not God, my friends are not God, my critics are not God, there is no other God apart from you and because you are God, you have the final say on all that concerns me.
You reminded me about how so easily I am moved by what I hear, what I see around me, if only I could be so as moved with what your word says as well. Your word says that irrespective if where I find myself, you are there with me. In the fire and in the flood, there you are in the midst of us and you are mighty. Teach me O lord to have that quiet rest in you, I yearn for it. Give me the faith that sees the Red Sea in front of me and the Egyptians behind me and yet still remains still, NO SHAKING!
Give me the strength of the widow Elisha encountered, who held her dead son in her hands and could still say IT IS WELL. Halleluyah. Teach me O Lord, show me how to do it for I am so anxious by nature but your word says I should be anxious for nothing and pray about everything. Remind me that while there are times to speak and even to fight there are some times that I just need to stand still for the battle is yours. You will go before me and straighten the crooked paths and cut asunder the bars of iron. Thank you God. My Big Daddy, the One who can fix anything and everything. I give you praise O Lord.

Heavenly Father, thank you for Favoured Girl, thank you for her life and her destiny as she prepares to celebrate another 365 days of your faithfulness, I give you praise. I ask for a bumper package for her in this new season. Do what you alone can do and may your name be glorified in Jesus name. Amen and Amen. Do show some love on her page.
N.B It was my intention to stop a season of prayer at Day 40, as 40 represents waiting on God but there are still so many prayer points so we'll just keep going by the grace of God as the Spirit leads. It is well. Prayer is a powerful weapon in the lives of believers, may God give us the grace and strength to keep on using it to gain the victorious lives we should have in Jesus name. A season of prayer; Day 39
A prayer when it seems all of hell is breaking loose in my life
O Lord, my God how excellent is your name in all the earth. You are God and there is none like you. You are God and no one can stand in your place, no one can boast of your resume. Is it your contact details, you reside in the heavens and the earth is your footstool, you are a God who is ever accessible, we boldly approach your presence through the blood of the lamb that was shed for us, we never get a busy signal when we call for your word has already told us that when we draw close to you, you will draw close to us.
Your qualifications as the Almighty God speaks for itself. You are the one who created the heavens and the earth, you decree a thing and watch it come to pass. You, who are not a man to lie, willing and able to do of your good pleasure, the teacher who was never taught, the Father who was never born. O Lord indeed, there is no one and there is nothing that can be compared to you. Unchanging Changer, Multibreasted God, ElShaddai, covenant keeping God, there is no one like you.
Father, your word says that men always ought to pray and not faint. You said we should pray without ceasing, that if we humble ourselves to pray (for prayer involves admitting that I don't have what it takes)and seek your face, you will hear from heaven and answer us. O Lord, I see the devil trying to wreak havoc in my life, you already warned me not to be ignorant of the devil's devices for he goes around like a roaring lion seeking whom he can devour, you also told me that i do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers, rulers of darkness and evil imaginations and that if I resist the devil he will flee from me.
Today I stand in the authority of your word, I choose to fight this battle spiritually for I know the devil's hand is in this. You have given me authority to trample upon snakes and scorpions and to overcome ALL the power of the enemy. I boldly declare peace to the storm that is brewing. You said that even though we go through fire it won't harm us and when we go through the waters, there you will be with us. I CHOOSE PEACE and LIFE. Devil, you are a liar, you have always been and will continue to be. My family is covered with the blood of Jesus which speaks better things than the blood of Abel. From this moment, I declare that as it is the will of God in heaven concerning my family so shall it be here on earth.
Every evil force must bow because I have mentioned the name of Jesus. Expose the enemy for what he is. You are the most High God, the one who sees all. Father, take total control, as I pick up the phone, speak through me, empower me with boldness to say the right things, give me divine insight and go before me to work on the hearts of the listeners that they may heed to the right path and open their eyes to see the truth. Father, enable us to do what is right not what people expect but what you expect from us in Jesus name. Thank you Father for I know that I am guaranteed an answer. I can sense your presence, working good in our lives. Thank you Father, thank you Lord. In Jesus name I have prayed. Amen.
May God arise, may his enemies be scattered;may his foes flee before him. As smoke is blown away by the wind, may you blow them away;as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God. But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful....The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands; the Lord has come from Sinai into his sanctuary...Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Selah.Our God is a God who saves; from the Sovereign LORD comes escape from death. Selected verses from Psalm 68

A Prayer when I feel inadequate

Dear Daddy, the songwriters portray the feelings in my heart. Like P-Square will sing, no one be like you, even though I've searched many places and seen many faces, who can take the place of my God. The Omnipotent (omni-potential, Thanks Bishop Bismark!), Omniscient, all seeing and all knowing God. The One who sees the real Believer and loves her anyway. Loves her with her weaknesses and frailties, loves her through her doubts, loves her to a place where she is ready to take up her cross daily to follow the Lover of her soul. There is no one like you who can give us grace, that unmerited favour that enables us to receive birthday presents when it is not our birthday! Daddy, I bless your name. Thank you for everything. Thank you for the little things and thank you for the big things. Thank you for the words of prophecy we received at FOL, give me the grace to keep running with them until the prophecy becomes a testimony. Thank you for this season in Jesus name.
Daddy, you know me as in you really know me. Beyond all the layers, you see me naked and you have never been ashamed. These days, I have been struggling so much with feeling inadequate. I look at the tasks, I look at myself, I look back at the task again and wonder how shall these things be? I hear the word and I encourage myself in it but today you showed me that I haven't meditated on it enough therefore the cares of this life and all I need to do keep choking it before it can take root in my life. Daddy, remind me that it has never been about me. It is the Spirit that gives life, you said to me;
"If you are willing, I will speak through you, heal through you, encourage through you, strengthen through you, love through you. Therefore you do not need to worry, what you need to do is FOCUS and spend more time in my presence".
Daddy, I realise that these feelings come when I look at myself and not at you so now I'm looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith and like him for the joy that has been set before me will endure the cross and despise the shame for I know I will reap in my due season if I faint not. I of myself am inadequate but you are Christ in me, my hope of glory. With your help, I will bend my bow (sort out this wonky PCR!) and I will leap over a wall (successfully finish my degree). Your word says I will hear a voice behind me telling me which way to go. Today I choose to have the right attitude about the obstacles on my way. They are opportunities to show yourself strong and mighty. Greater are you O lord in me, than the fears in the world. Your power is astounding and I know you will make a way for me and for us. I am nothing but you are the I AM THAT I AM including I AM THE ANSWER.
I speak light into the darkness, order into disorder. You said speak TO the mountain and not about it, speak TO the darkness and not about it. Life and death are in my tongue and I create my world with my words because I'm your baby and it's in my DNA. Thank you Father, thank you because everytime I pour out my heart unto you, I feel better, I feel stronger, I feel ready to conquer, overcome and take territory. I love you O lord my God for you are good and your mercies endureth forever. Thank you Jesus. Help me to continue to take you at your word for your word is good.

A Prayer for my sisters

The One whose love endures forever. I thank, bless and magnify your name for you are so good. The One who daily loadeth me with benefits, you renew my youth like the eagles, you have made me glad. You have blessed me and kept me. I give you praise.
Daddy, today I thank you my sisters. Thank you for the craziness associated in growing up with 4 sisters. It's been a 'heaven' of a ride so far. Thank you for my homegirls, same parents, same household but yet so different. We've had our share of fights, tears, laughs, celebrations e.t.c. but through it all the bond has remained there. I thank you because it shall continue to grow stronger. Father O lord as we grow older and begin to 'extend' as we already have started, keep us close more importantly close to you for there is peace when we are all led by the Holy Spirit for then it is easier for us to do the right thing and grow in peace. As roles begin to change and we begin to acquire brothers, nieces and nephews give us the grace and strength to love each other in Jesus name.
Help us to continue to be there for one another, praying for one another, encouraging one another, supporting one another, admonishing one another, building our strengths, working on our weaknesses. Truly being cheerleaders for one another on our journey of life. This I pray in Jesus name. I pray for my sisters and myself that we continue to grow in the way of the Lord. Thank you for our parents who took us to church and tried their best to model what walking in the faith means, they were and are not perfect but I believe they did their best and I am thankful. May we never depart from the path of righteousness in Jesus name.
Thank you for CM, Daddy I thank you for your goodness in her life, thank you for blessing her with the dual responsibility of being wife and mummy. Thank you for making her the first born and not me because I know the benefits I acquired from having someone to lead the way for example always having answers in the textbook when it came time to use them! Continue to strengthen her and her family. Keep and guide her in Jesus name. Thank you for Nna yi, as she enters the next phase of her life, give her wisdom, give her favour. Bless the works of her hands, make her business successful, uncover more talents in Jesus name. Thank you for the fashionista, our strong similarities make us clash from time to time but I thank you for her life. As she prepares for the last phase of her degree, I ask for good success, heal her from the pain of the past and give her wisdom for the future. Open doors she never thought possible in Jesus name. And for my baby, the one whose level of maturity is simply astounding, I thank you. I see her blossoming into a woman of God and I thank you. Keep her strong in a society where there is so much pressure to conform. Always enable her realise that she has been destined for greater things so she can so NO to the smaller ones. Give her the strength to see bullies for what they really are, people struggling with their own sense of worth. Help her to grow in you in Jesus name.
Father, thank you so much for my sisters who are my friends as well. Help us to be a light in a world surrounded by darkness in Jesus name. Thank you for my other sisters who I have met along the way, they deserve a special prayer as well I think! Help us to grow in love and promote peace and unity and not strife in Jesus name.

A Prayer when I'm waiting
We wait
We're not in a hurry
O we need You Lord

Eternal Rock of Ages, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Alpha and Omega, Author and Finisher. The I AM...I bless your name. Daddy, I give you praise, you alone are worthy to receive glory, honour and power for there in no one like you. You decree a thing and you make it come to pass. I am in awe of your goodness, I am in awe of your faithfulness. I confirm what the psalmist wrote that indeed great is your faithfulness, morning by morning, new mercies I have seen. All I have needed you keep on providing. Jehovah Shalom, thank you for teaching me to walk in your peace that passes all understanding. I choose not to be frazzled in Jesus name. Thank you for breath, thank you for the sun, thank you for my 2 eyes + 2 lenses that make me see men as men and not men as tree walking!!! Daddy, I love you.
Today O Lord as always, I come before your throne of grace asking for the strength and grace to enable me wait on you. Job said he would wait until his change came. David encouraged us to wait on you for you are a God who answers. Indeed your word says that you are not slack concerning your promise as some would count it and that your promises towards us are not yes and no but YES and in you AMEN. So Daddy, why do I find it so difficult, why am I always looking for alternatives and back up plans, why can't I just sit pretty at the bus-stop when I know the miracle that has my name on it will be arriving shortly. Father, forgive me for the times I have jumped on the Ishmael service because I thought that you had forgotten me.
How can you forget me? You said even though my mother can forget me and I know she can't that you would not forget me for my name is inscribed in the palm of your hand. My waiting is not because you are trying to gather enough power to make it happen (Hang on Believer, let me answer Ms. 30+ prayer request first so that I can give you my full attention!) because your word says that you are both willing and able to do of your good pleasure. It's for me, so that patience can have her perfect work in me that I may be complete and perfect lacking nothing.
Sometimes I ask why me, why do I have to wait? Wait to get into Uni, wait to be in a relationship, wait to....you know what the last wait is but Father Lord although I don't fully understand why, I've never ever regretted waiting for indeed you have made all things beautiful in their time. You have restored my years back, like Sarah I have laughed as I held on to my Isaac. So Lord, I will wait, I might grumble sometimes, forgive me, hopefully this reduces as I grow in maturity with you but I will wait on you. I will wait actively, I won't have what Ms. Hammond calls one-tree-itis focusing on the one object I'm waiting on forgetting that in Eden there is a whole garden that I can choose to eat from. I will focus on being a blessing in the lives of others. I will celebrate with people as they walk into their Canaan land. I choose to wait and be happy, no use frowning and getting wrinkles! I will trust you that you will make all things beautiful in YOUR time. You didn't forget Abraham, Sarah, Rebekah, Isaac, Ruth, Jacob, Joeseph, David, Moses, Joshua, the children of Israel, Jesus, the disciples e.t.c in short you didn't forget anyone who walked with you so you will surely not forget me.
I may cry sometimes but at the end of the day give me the grace and strength to dig my feet in and say "I know in whom I have believed and when He has tried me, I shall come forth as gold". Amen and Amen.

A season of prayer: Day 34
25 prayer requests (issues) I have..
Well, Simeon tagged me to do this a while ago..(Je suis desolee simeon)so I thought to myself...if there are issues we have that are big enough to worry about they should be important enough to pray about them so I don't know if i'll remember 25 but I'll do my best..
Heavenly Father, repairer of destiny, the Potter who never lets go until his work becomes a Masterpiece, EloHim the One who creates from nothing, people make but you create! Halleluyah. I lift my voice and join the elders in declaring you are worthy and indeed there is none like you. From age to age, you remain the Unchanging Changer. I'm blowing a billion kisses in your direction. Eternal Lover of my soul, you love me so deep and make my heart content. Thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit as you continue to hover and brood over my life until the perfect design of the Father comes to pass in my life in Jesus name.
Daddy, your word says that we should be anxious for nothing but in every thing with praise and thanksgiving we should make our requests known unto you, you also say if we humble ourselves and pray (for in prayer I realise I am nothing and you are EVERYTHING) you will hear from heaven and answer our requests. Today I lift up these issues before your throne of grace, let them become testimonies in Jesus name.
*I tend to worry a lot, anxiety is my pet peeve. I worry about the future, about getting to an appointment on time, not forgetting important stuff when I'm travelling, the fried rice looking like fried rice and not something else! By the grace of God I am getting better. It is true that at least 70% of the things we worry about never happen. A big antidote for worry is prayer.
*My relationship with my extended family. Well, here I can write a book...the summarised version is that I do not relate with my relatives! I know the Holy Spirit has been nudging my heart to let go of some things from the past but it has been difficult. Please pray for me, I want to be in the perfect will of God not in what is comfortable for me. I have learnt that as much as it is possible for me by the grace of God to relate, love and accept my future husbands siblings and family if not for them in themselves but for the greater good of the cousins, neices, nephews e.t.c.
*Academics, I am coming to the last phase of my programme and the truth is I get confused sometimes,the way just doesn't seem so clear so Father please I need your wisdom, guidance and light.
*Minding my own business (Ouch!)i've come to realise that in a lot of relationships unless I am invited to give counsel or advice I should mind my own business. Even if I don't totally agree with something I should pray first and speak later, a lot of times I do it in reverse and get the pay that comes with that work! Help me Jesus.
*Career, well continued with academics above, I'm trusting God for a good job but when everyone asks me what I want to do I can't really say I'm so sure, today it's research, tomorrow it's teaching, the next neither so I really need God's direction as to what to do. Lord, help me to put purpose and not net pay in mind and create an opening for me in an organisation of your choice and mold me into what you want me to be there in Jesus name.
*Making comparisons. Ever so often, I feel this pressure to conform to what society and not Chineke (God) expect from me. Believer, so so and so are working in so so and so and earning so, so and so and driving so, so and so and married to so, so and so and have so, so and so children living in so, so and so. Then, I have my one minute (usually more!) Believer's rant with God where I remind Him if He's still got the right postcode to send my blessings to! I need to always remember that the word says that those who compare themselves with themselves are not wise and that there is a time and season for everything and God makes all things beautiful in His time.
*Loving people the God kind of way. I once prayed and asked God to teach me to love as He does...I have learnt to be careful what I asked for in future!! To love as God loves requires a heart which while beating and made of flesh and blood is strong like iron to withstand the arrows of life. God loves us even when we don't love Him back and He keeps loving us whether we acknowledge the love or not. God's love is not passive but actively doing things for us. I try but I get tired after a few unreturned calls, emails and having a relationship with people's voicemail! I need to learn to remember that all I do should be with the strength that God provides and also a very effective way of loving people is on my knees sending my prayer where my face may not very well be welcome at that point in time!
*Getting to a place of total trust. I've always thought of myself as being quite trustworthy, your secrets are safe here but I rarely give others the same benefit. For relationships to grow, there must be trust and I need God's grace in this area.
*It doesn't have to be my way. In almost everything I do, I have a system, a method, a protocol, maybe it comes from spending most of my time in a laboratory and that's fine as it works for me but I'm realising that other people have their own systems and methods and as long as the end result is ok, I needn't worry and I'll try not to roll my eyes too much when a certain person (just in case she reads this!!) steps into the kitchen!
*Letting go! I rehearse yesterday a lot! It takes me time to recover from mistakes. I strive for perfection, in of itself I don't think it's a bad thing but I'm humans and I make mistakes like the rest of mankind but I need to learn how to forget those things which are behind and strive towards what is coming ahead. How to leave yesterday just where it is and give myself the gift of the present, today, a brand new slate.
*Unhealthy habits, for a while I've slid off the exercise regimen and have been eating things I know I'm not supposed to. This body is God's temple and while I know habits like smoking and excessive drinking are known by all to be harmful, I haven't paid much attention to the food I actually consume, cholesterol and sugar can be as deadly as nicotine and alcohol so Lord please help me and give me strength. All things are lawful for me but not all things are beneficial.
*I'm also scared of heights and animals. I like animals from afar..it's so funny. I prayed for almost six months just to be able to stay for a week with my BIG SIS who has a dog. I kept praying, speaking in tongues e.t.c, don't let me get started on cats!! The Bible says Fear not! for I am with you although I rarely ever remember when an animal is in the vicinity! As for heights, if you want to see Believer in a new light follow me on my annual summer trip to either Chessington/Thorpe Park..well you have been warned!
Wow..I'm sure there's more and I'm sure I didn't really do the tag the way I was supposed to but I feel lighter already. Thanks Uncle Simeon! Remember there's nothing too big or too small to talk to God about, He knows all about it anyway. Keep praying and praising. Keep running and reigning. 2009 continues to remain our year of possibilities in Jesus name.

I have learnt that as much as it is possible for me by the grace of God to relate, love and accept my future husbands siblings and family if not for them in themselves but for the greater good of the cousins, neices, nephews e.t.c.
*Academics, I am coming to the last phase of my programme and the truth is I get confused sometimes,the way just doesn't seem so clear so Father please I need your wisdom, guidance and light.
*Minding my own business (Ouch!)i've come to realise that in a lot of relationships unless I am invited to give counsel or advice I should mind my own business. Even if I don't totally agree with something I should pray first and speak later, a lot of times I do it in reverse and get the pay that comes with that work! Help me Jesus.
*Career, well continued with academics above, I'm trusting God for a good job but when everyone asks me what I want to do I can't really say I'm so sure, today it's research, tomorrow it's teaching, the next neither so I really need God's direction as to what to do. Lord, help me to put purpose and not net pay in mind and create an opening for me in an organisation of your choice and mold me into what you want me to be there in Jesus name.
*Making comparisons. Ever so often, I feel this pressure to conform to what society and not Chineke (God) expect from me. Believer, so so and so are working in so so and so and earning so, so and so and driving so, so and so and married to so, so and so and have so, so and so children living in so, so and so. Then, I have my one minute (usually more!) Believer's rant with God where I remind Him if He's still got the right postcode to send my blessings to! I need to always remember that the word says that those who compare themselves with themselves are not wise and that there is a time and season for everything and God makes all things beautiful in His time.
*Loving people the God kind of way. I once prayed and asked God to teach me to love as He does...I have learnt to be careful what I asked for in future!! To love as God loves requires a heart which while beating and made of flesh and blood is strong like iron to withstand the arrows of life. God loves us even when we don't love Him back and He keeps loving us whether we acknowledge the love or not. God's love is not passive but actively doing things for us. I try but I get tired after a few unreturned calls, emails and having a relationship with people's voicemail! I need to learn to remember that all I do should be with the strength that God provides and also a very effective way of loving people is on my knees sending my prayer where my face may not very well be welcome at that point in time!
*Getting to a place of total trust. I've always thought of myself as being quite trustworthy, your secrets are safe here but I rarely give others the same benefit. For relationships to grow, there must be trust and I need God's grace in this area.
*It doesn't have to be my way. In almost everything I do, I have a system, a method, a protocol, maybe it comes from spending most of my time in a laboratory and that's fine as it works for me but I'm realising that other people have their own systems and methods and as long as the end result is ok, I needn't worry and I'll try not to roll my eyes too much when a certain person (just in case she reads this!!) steps into the kitchen!
*Letting go! I rehearse yesterday a lot! It takes me time to recover from mistakes. I strive for perfection, in of itself I don't think it's a bad thing but I'm humans and I make mistakes like the rest of mankind but I need to learn how to forget those things which are behind and strive towards what is coming ahead. How to leave yesterday just where it is and give myself the gift of the present, today, a brand new slate.
*Unhealthy habits, for a while I've slid off the exercise regimen and have been eating things I know I'm not supposed to. This body is God's temple and while I know habits like smoking and excessive drinking are known by all to be harmful, I haven't paid much attention to the food I actually consume, cholesterol and sugar can be as deadly as nicotine and alcohol so Lord please help me and give me strength. All things are lawful for me but not all things are beneficial.
*I'm also scared of heights and animals. I like animals from afar..it's so funny. I prayed for almost six months just to be able to stay for a week with my BIG SIS who has a dog. I kept praying, speaking in tongues e.t.c, don't let me get started on cats!! The Bible says Fear not! for I am with you although I rarely ever remember when an animal is in the vicinity! As for heights, if you want to see Believer in a new light follow me on my annual summer trip to either Chessington/Thorpe Park..well you have been warned!
Wow..I'm sure there's more and I'm sure I didn't really do the tag the way I was supposed to but I feel lighter already. Thanks Uncle Simeon! Remember there's nothing too big or too small to talk to God about, He knows all about it anyway. Keep praying and praising. Keep running and reigning. 2009 continues to remain our year of possibilities in Jesus name.

A season of prayer; Day 33
A Prayer for Lent
Dear God, the One from whom all blessing flow. You are the Father of Light and in you there is no darkness, rather darkness becomes overwhelmed in your presence. Good and gracious God, the One who forgives my iniquities and remembers them no more, I bless and honour your name. A new day, a new opportunity to show yourself strong and mighty, you are my Rock, my shield, my exceedingly great reward. Do as you will do and let your name be glorified through my existence in Jesus name.
Daddy,I bless you for today marks the beginning of Lent. A period where people for 40 days and 40 nights practice self denial and discipline. Thank you I am alive to witness lent in 2009, thank you for the grace to participate in Lent this year. Dear God, I pray for myself and any others who will participate for strength. Already, I am experiencing withdrawal symptoms just thinking about cake and bread. I never knew the love was this strong o! Lol! In tesco, they were just calling me...and today being the first day! Help me to be strong, remind me O Lord that Lent is not just about giving up stuff but giving up for, giving up some TV programmes for having more time to spend in your word and prayer, giving up some things that I like for remembering others in their time of need.
In this season O Lord, help me not to walk in the flesh but to fulfill the desires of the Spirit, let this be a season of pure thoughts and speech. Help me to see things as they truly are, guide me in the steps that I take. Like silver that goes through the fire, purify me O Lord in this season, let all those things that do not give you glory rise to the top like dross and be skimmed out of my life.
Father, I do not pray to fall but I may, I ask for the grace to stand up, shake off the dust and keep walking. A righteous man may fall seven times but your Word has promised that you will always deliver me. Thank You Father for in this season we shall see you in a new way. Reveal more of you, help us to grow in you. Thank you Father, thank you Lord in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter—when you see the naked, to clothe him and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you and the glory of the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the LORD will answer;you will cry for help, and he will say: Here am I Isaiah 58:6-9

A season of prayer; Day 32
A Prayer of gratitude
To the One and Only Wise God. The One who reigns on High and is the all seeing one. Oluwadee praises him as the Unchanging Changer, 30+ says He is tha Land Owner indeed it is true for His word says that the cattle on a thousand hills belong to Him. David called Him His Sherperd the One who never allowed him to be in want. He has been and currently is so many things to me. Truly, words cannot describe His goodness in my life. Lord, never let me get tired of singing praises to your name.
This month I thank you for journey mercies, thank you for the opportunities and the open doors you have given me. So many things I take for granted but as I look around me I see that I am truly priviledged, I don't have all I want but the only thing I need I already have and that is a viable, wonderful, beatiful, deep relationship with Christ for in Him I have all I need. You have allowed me to seat with you in the heavenly places in Christ far above all principalities and powers. I can do all things through you who gives me the strength and ability. You have given me gifts that have brought me before kings. You have made things that seem to be difficult to others to come natural to me and I know this is only the beginning for as I walk with you, you reveal more of the mystery that is Ms. Zoe Believer.
Father, thank you for your patience with me, for someone who can't act to save her life I know I can be very dramatic but you wait for me to scream, shout and kick like a little child and then when i'm tired your arms are still open. Daddy, thank you. Thank you Jesus. Thank you for your word, in it I find comfort, in it I find guidance, in it I find wisdom and strength. Through it I am encouraged and am given the grace to encourage others. I thank you Lord.
You are the One who tells me to stand still when the waters are all around, you are the one who makes a way in the wilderness, the One who sets a table for me in the presence of my enemies, people who don't like me have no choice but to bless me. Like Ruth, you have shown me favour in a foreign land. Your blessings towards me have indeed been numerous, thank you for journey mercies home. Thank you for I need not worry for you who has been faithful to begin good things will be faithful to complete it in Jesus name.
Daddy, thank you in spite of the issues that I face for I know through them you are working patience in me and I know patience must have her complete work in me that I may be perfect not lacking anything. Thank you God.
Thank you for everything, accept this as a little token of praise.

A Prayer for the organisation where I work
Dear God, Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Who is there like you
O Lord
You who created us in your likeness
Who is there like you

It's an honour Lord
To stand and worship you (Words not mine)
Father in Heaven
How I love you
I lift your name in all the earth
May your kingdom be established
in our praises
As your daughter
I declare your mighty works (Words not mine)
God you are a good God. Indeed you are a good God and your mercies endureth forever. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds, you are a wonderful God. I am truly in awe of you.
Father, I use this opportunity to thank you for the job that I have. Thank you for everything, thank you for bringing me into this organisation through your favour and for using it as a source of blessing to me.
Daddy, you said that if I am willing and obedient I will eat the good of the land, you have been true to your word. You are my source but through my job I have paid my bills, honed my skills, met people who have become like my family. Thank you Jesus, Today I commit the organisation where I work before your throne of grace, in these shaky days I ask for wisdom. I commit the leadership before your throne of grace as their decisions affect not only the employees but those who depend on the employees as well. Help them to make the best decisions even when it is difficult, help them not to walk in fear but to uphold what is right. Guide us through this storm O Lord, let us learn from any mistakes we make and keep growing.
Father, I thank you for in this season in my life you have deemed it fit for me to be here, forgive me for complaining and grumbling sometimes, help me to be a light in this place. Help me as your word says to work as unto you and not unto men. Teach me to work with integrity, teach me to prioritise and do my bit to make this place shine. Give me the knowledge of witty inventions to work smart and contribute to our success. Give me a renewed passion for what I do in Jesus name.
Thank you father. This is my season of open doors, thank you in advance for testimonies in Jesus name.
The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. Exodus 28:8

A season of prayer: Day 30
A Prayer for Johnathan Elendu and Emmanuel Asiwe
Heavenly Father, thank you for a wonderful day. Thank you for the snow, though I don't love it, I'm surrounded by people who do. Thank you for the big smile you put on their faces today escpecially seeing that most of them didn't have to go to work today!! Thank you Lord for everything, thank you for opening my eyes and showing me the truth. Thank you for your word concerning me, thank you for a new month, February is here already, can't believe it. Thank you for divine protection all through January, thank you Baba. You are indeed the pillar that holds my life, can a pillar be moved no, so thank you for being my strength and holding me down the devil tried to raise storms, you spoke peace to my heart. Thank you Jesus.

Thank you God, thank you that we can come before your throne and make requests of you because you are a God who answers. Dear Father, I do not know either of the men mentioned above, neither am I aware of all the circumstances concerning them but Father Lord they have been separated from their families for a long period of time, a new year has come and there seem to be no respite for them. You are a God of justice, Father fight for them. We remember them today, we thank you for a turn around concerning this situation.
Thank you for their families, protect them and keep them. Give them peace concerning their situation in Jesus name, a peace that surpasses all understanding. Father, give us a testimony in Jesus name. I use them as a point of contact to reach to others who might be in similar situations. Father, as you brought Paul and Silas, Peter, Joeseph out, bring them out in Jesus name. Lord, I don't really know how to pray for them but I commit them before your throne of grace, you who knows best, do what you alone can do in Jesus name.
So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him Acts 12:5
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds and to him who knocks, the door will be opened Matthew 7:7-8

A season of prayer; Day 29
A prayer when God seems far away
All the glory must be to our God
For He is worthy of our praise
No one on earth should give glory to himself
All the glory must be to the Lord

Where would I be without my Father and my King? Where would I be without my God? The One who created me with ten fingers and ten toes. The One who watches over and protects me, we woke up this morning to realise that the door was not properly locked..surely He is true to His word that evil will never come near our dwelling place. Father, I bless you, I give you glory, I honour and magnify your name. You are good and your mercies endureth forever.
Down at your feet O lord
is the Most High place

Dear Daddy, some days it seems that you are so far away. I pray but it feels like the prayer is not going past the roof, i get anxious, i get upset because i need an answer and it seems that you are not forthcoming. Forgive me for sometimes I search for alternatives, for Ishmael because I say to myself.."just in case He doesn't come through". I repent of this O Lord. Father, your word says that we will hear a voice telling us the way that we should walk in but sometimes I do not hear a voice, all I get is silence, a screaming silence for silence can be louder than the greatest noise.
Lord, I remember your word today, that even when you are silent you are with me. Your word says that you are with me always even to the end of the age. Remind me that when I scream "Lord, where are you, why have you forsaken me" that you've been there all along. That I do not see your footprints in the sand does not mean you are not there. You were with Job for 37 chapters when all hell broke through in his life but you did not speak until Chapter 38. You were there when Joeseph's brothers sold him into slavery, when he was thrown in prison and up to his days in the palace. You were there when David was singled out from amongst his brothers to care and tend for the sheep, you were there when Lot selfishly chose the 'better' land for himself. If you were there for all these people, Lord I know that you are there for me. David sais that there is no where we can hide from your presence from the depths of hell to the highest heavens. Remind me Father that you are with me. Keep my mind sane when I feel you are far away. Let your word come and strengthen my heart and let me keep pressing in to know you more and to fulfill the destiny you have created me for in Jesus name.
Dear God, I pray for strength not to give in to temptations that will pose a barrier between me and you, for you have commanded me to be holy and set apart as you are holy. Create in me a clean heart O Lord, renew a right spirit within me. Thank you for being a God who is close, for being a God who is there. You said I should call upon you and you will answer. Speak to me O Lord, I need to hear your voice, I need you to touch me and keep me whole. Thank you Father, thank you Lord.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. The One who watches over and protects me, we woke up this morning to realise that the door was not properly locked..surely He is true to His word that evil will never come near our dwelling place. Father, I bless you, I give you glory, I honour and magnify your name. You are good and your mercies endureth forever.

Dear Daddy, some days it seems that you are so far away. I pray but it feels like the prayer is not going past the roof, i get anxious, i get upset because i need an answer and it seems that you are not forthcoming. Forgive me for sometimes I search for alternatives, for Ishmael because I say to myself.."just in case He doesn't come through". I repent of this O Lord. Father, your word says that we will hear a voice telling us the way that we should walk in but sometimes I do not hear a voice, all I get is silence, a screaming silence for silence can be louder than the greatest noise.
Lord, I remember your word today, that even when you are silent you are with me. Your word says that you are with me always even to the end of the age. Remind me that when I scream "Lord, where are you, why have you forsaken me" that you've been there all along. That I do not see your footprints in the sand does not mean you are not there. You were with Job for 37 chapters when all hell broke through in his life but you did not speak until Chapter 38. You were there when Joeseph's brothers sold him into slavery, when he was thrown in prison and up to his days in the palace. You were there when David was singled out from amongst his brothers to care and tend for the sheep, you were there when Lot selfishly chose the 'better' land for himself. If you were there for all these people, Lord I know that you are there for me. David sais that there is no where we can hide from your presence from the depths of hell to the highest heavens. Remind me Father that you are with me. Keep my mind sane when I feel you are far away. Let your word come and strengthen my heart and let me keep pressing in to know you more and to fulfill the destiny you have created me for in Jesus name.
Dear God, I pray for strength not to give in to temptations that will pose a barrier between me and you, for you have commanded me to be holy and set apart as you are holy. Create in me a clean heart O Lord, renew a right spirit within me. Thank you for being a God who is close, for being a God who is there. You said I should call upon you and you will answer. Speak to me O Lord, I need to hear your voice, I need you to touch me and keep me whole. Thank you Father, thank you Lord.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:20
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. A season of prayer; Day 28
A Prayer for my friends
Jehovah Rohi, the Shepherd who is ever so watchful over the condition of His flocks, the One who sees the wolf coming from a distance and kills the bear that would harm one of His own. I honour and bless and glorify your name. Lord, you are good and your mercies endureth forever. Thank you Baba for your grace. Thank you for clothing me with your righteousness. Thank you for being my light, thank you for being my strength. Thank you for being my father and my friend. Thank you for being my all in all. Thank you for being my song in the night. Thank you for being my exceedingly great reward. Thank you for being my everything.
Father, in this season of prayer, I am ever mindful of the precious people you have brought my way in this journey called my life. Today I thank you for their lives, I thank you for keeping them, for providing for them and I thank you for the contributions that they have brought that have made me the woman that I am today. Your word says that it is good and pleasant when we dwell together in unity. I pray for my friends that we shall stand in unity, that even when we disagree we will not be disagreeable, that we learn to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, that the peace of God reign and rule in our hearts in Jesus name.
Father thank you for revealing to me that I should pray that your will be done in their lives. So many times I presume to know what their prayer requests are, automatically someone without a job needs one and for singles, about marriage. Nothing bad there but Lord you created them and you alone know what their true needs are as fitting to their purpose. O Lord, your word says that although one laughs it can be a mask for deep pain within. I am not the most sensitive of people but you are, you see the tears I cannot see and the pain I cannot imagine, I ask that you meet each at their point of need in Jesus name.
Heal those who are believing you for their healing, provide for those who need to see you as Jehovah Jireh, teach those who need to learn your ways, encourage those who are about to give, be joy in spite of to those who at this point are overwhelmed with the mountain in front of them. Be their strength, be their guide in Jesus name. I pray that 2009 indeed be a year of POSSIBILITIES in the lives of my friends that you exceed their wildest expectations in the mighty name of Jesus. Let 2009 be a year of prayer, a year of seeking the face of God before taking any major step (even minor ones too.) Thank you in advance for I know that this year I will keep hearing of your goodness all around. For when my friends win, I win. Amen and amen.

He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven.Therefore confess your sins to each other and PRAY FOR EACH OTHER so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective James 5:13-16

A Season of Prayer: Day 27
A prayer for Barack Obama
Abba Father, thank you for the gift of life. Thank you for these 2 hands and ten fingers that I can use to type this, thank you that I can type, thank you I have access to the Internet, thank you that I know how to use Internet Explorer, thank you for allowing me to meander through Safari and the other weird stuff on Macs (Sorry to Apple fans). I thank you for my family, for journey mercies, trains that arrive on time and even those that don't, I don't have to walk to school. Thank you Baba for those little but ever so important things that I take for granted. Thank you for helping me find the jewellry, you are just the BOMB. Alpha and Omega, I give you praise.
Daddy, what a day yesterday was. A day that showed us that if we can dare to believe, the impossible can happen. Father, I know that nothing takes you by surprise because you are the all knowing and all seeing God. Your word commands us to pray, intercede and give thanks for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. It is with this premise that I commit the new president of the United States before your throne of grace. Yes, I am happy that a black man has become the president but Father this is beyond that. These are trying times for anyone and the issue is not the colour of his skin but the position he presently occupies. Lord, be his wisdom. Lord, be his strength. As you gave Solomon wisdom that enabled him to lead his country to the top, give to him O Lord in Jesus name. Father as all eyes are on him, enable him to keep his gaze on you.
Father, I pray for your divine protection over his life and that of his family. I pray for the grace for the job he fills. Truth be known, I really don't know how to pray this prayer but since the Holy Spirit intercedes for us when we don't know what to say, Holy Spirit take over. Your word says that the hearts of kings are in your hands and you direct them in the way that they should take. Lead him and show yourself to be strong and mighty. Enable him as your word says to speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute, enable him to speak up and judge fairly and defend the rights of the poor and needy. May his decisions be like those of Joeseph which enabled Egypt to remain a superpower in a time of crisis. I think this is more of a prayer to be prayed in tongues but since I can't write in tongues, I'll call it a day here and continue on my knees.
I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness 2nd Timothy 2:1-2
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. Proverbs 31:8-9

A season of prayer: Day 26
A Prayer for T.O.M
Father I praise you, I honour and give you thanks. This is indeed a day you have created for me to rejoice and be glad in. Father I bless and magnify your name. How many tongues can tell of your works which you have done in the midst of us. Indeed the Lord our God you are in our midst and you are MIGHTY. Eternal Rock of Ages, wonder worker, I bless and give you praise.
Daddy, I thank you for today. Today T.O.M our wonderful son, nephew, grandson, cousin e.t.c, e.t.c. is one. Today last year, we were speaking in tongues, singing, reading Bible, holding hands, giving oxygen e.t.c, e.t.c as we earnestly awaited his arrival. Today, last year I saw Big Sis in a different light (let's just leave it at that as I'm not sure I have totally recovered from the experience lol!)but Lord I thank you for your faithfulness. You came through for us that day as you always have and for that I give you praise. He came with nothing broken and nothing missing, just a handsome bobo with his cute dimples. Daddy, I thank you.
Today, he turns one, please help me forgive his mummy for taking him to NY and not allowing his crazy aunty to come and do her weird steps in her house. Daddy I thank you for as you have kept him you will continue to keep him. I prophesy that like an arrow in the hand of an archer, you will shoot him into his destiny. I plead the blood of Jesus over him at home, in the nursery, in the car, on the train, no evil shall ever come near his dwelling place in the mighty name of Jesus. I pray for his parents for grace to continue to train him in the way that he should go for when he is old he will never depart from it. I pray that your favour will rest upon him. I pray that he will grow to testify of your goodness and favour to the world. His name means, Praise God and he will live to praise you.
Father I pray that he will bring joy and happiness to his parents, I know that his future is so bright because you remain in total control. I thank you for his life, I thank you for his fineness o because it is too much. I thank you also for the fact that he can say that on his first birthday, a black man became the President of the United States of America for the first time in history. Thank you Jesus.
Happy birthday T.O.M, from your aunty (a.k.a noisemaker and kissykissy). I love you very, very much and I know we will have many more to celebrate. You are blessed and favoured by the Lord.

A season of prayer; Day 25
A Prayer of Praise
O Lord my God, indeed you are very great. We call you an awesome wonder because that is what you are. I keep wondering at your might, your knowledge, your wisdom. Nothing can take you by surprise, before there was a beginning you were and when things cease to exist you will still be there. The One who creates things but was not Created. The One who sees all, who knows all, who is all. Father, I praise you. Like David I ask, who is Believer that you are mindful of her, she wakes up in the morning, she goes to bed at night for you have given her breath, your Spirit lives within her.
Daddy, where do I start from? Do I praise you for your mercy and your grace; not giving me what I rightfully deserve which is punishment but clothing me with your grace and glory. Do I praise you for my life? That in you I live and move and have my being? Do I praise you because I was created in your image that in you I can decree things and they must be so because I am seated in the heavenly places with you far above prinicipalities, powers and every name that is named. I join the whole of creation to give you praise. I have breath so I will praise the Lord.
I praise you because you are a miracle working God. You show up in situations and there is a turn around, everywhere you go, you do wonderful things, you do good things, you do great things. Lion of the tribe of Judah, Bright and morning star, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, I give you praise. There is power in my praise. As praises go up, you have promised that blessings come down.
I will praise you like your children did as they marched around the walls of Jericho, I will praise you like Gideon and 300 did against the Midianites, I will praise you like Hezekiah did when you utterly destroyed their enemies before them without them even lifting a finger. I will praise you in utter and total abandon like David did when the ark of the Covenant was brought back to Jerusalem. I will sing and dance, I will make melody in my heart for I serve a good God.
Eternal Rock of Ages, the one who has renamed me Hephzibah and Beulah, the one who took away garments of mourning and shame and has put me in royal garments. I honour and magnify your name. May my life be one not of complaints but of praise to the One, the Only, the God who reigns. Jehovah, Yaweh. Thank you Lord.
I praise you because of your word, I praise you because you can never go back on it, when you have promised it, you make it come to pass. I praise you because even though I am waiting on you concerning different areas of my life, I can rejoice and be glad because my soul waits patiently on One who hears and can do something about it. I praise you because even when I find myself sinking in the miry clay of depression and despair, you have the strength to pull me out and set me on a rock. Thank you for always being an anchor in the time of the storm. Thank you for being my peace. Thank you for being my God.
God of favour, who enables me to win wars even when He has to do ojoro for me. Thank you because you bestow your favour on whom you will. Thank you for calling and choosing me. I am grateful for my new nationality, a citizen of the Kingdom of God. The benefits are amazing and astounding...thank you Father, thank you Lord.

Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute,praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. Psalm 150:1-6

A season of prayer; Day 24
A prayer for light
Jehovah El-Elyon, the Most High God. El-Roi, the God who sees, Adonai, El-Shaddai, Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Nissi, Jehovah Rapha, Jehovah Tsikendu, Jehovah Rohi, Elohim, so many names, one God, so many facets, one God. God who is my shield, God who is my song, God who is my maker. The Lion and the lamb, my rose of sharon, my lily in the valley, my bright and morning star. The sugar in my tea, the One who makes me smile. The One I love totally, without abandon, the one who makes me breakdance in the lab much my amazement, the one who makes me laugh, the one who wipes away my tears, pats me on the back and tells me to keep going forward.
Father, I bless you because you are my light. There is none that can be compared to you for indeed you are very great. At the beginning of creation you commanded that there be light and since then there has always been light. You did this first because you were aware of the importance light has. Sometimes I'm looking for things, trying to organise things but I'm doing it in darkness, how then can I know the way. Switch on the light in my life O Lord. Be my light and salvation. Your word says your light shines in darkness and the darkness cannot comprehend it. So may it be in my life O Lord.
Daddy, your word says that darkness covers the earth and a thick darkness over the people for we have turned our backs on you. Forgive us Lord. Your word has also promised that I will arise and SHINE for my light has come as your glory has risen upon me. Let your glory always cover me all the days of my life, let your light come that I may see, not with natural eyes but with the supernatural. I will see the answers to mysteries, I will see solutions to problems. I will see the road that takes me to destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.
I claim your word which says that the sun will no longer be my light by day or the brightness of the moon shine on me for you have become my EVERLASTING light and you are my GLORY. Daddy, this means that irrespective of seasons I am blessed. Like a tree planted by everlasting rivers of water I am always fruitful for I do not depend on the natural as I begin to walk in the supernatural. A season of prayer; Day 23
A Prayer for help
Father O Lord, I give you praise. Baba, it is you that all the glory and honour belong to for there is no one like you. The heavens declare the glory of the Lord, the whole earth is full of your glory. I enter your gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I enter your courts with praise. King of glory,I honour and adore you. Eternal rock of ages and my best friend, I salute o. Thank you for today, a day you made for us to rejoice and be glad in. Thank you for today, the day I realised that Daddy's Girl is back (yay...). Thank you Jesus. I'm so grateful for my blog fam. Thanks for all you have used to bless me. Bless them O lord in jesus name.
Today O Lord, I call on you to be my help. You are my help in ages past and are continually my help in times to come. I look around me on my desk and am a tad bit overwhelmed with all the work that I have to do this month. Yesterday my first day back and have to be here till 9pm. I choose not to look at what is around me but like David, I lift up my eyes unto you for my help comes from you. Your word says wisdom comes from you, knowledge and understanding..na u be the source so I am choosing not to fret. I am choosing to encourage myself in you by meditating on your word. You said as I meditate on it day and night I shall have good success.
As you helped Abraham, help me Lord. As you helped Isaac, Jacob, Moses, the Israelites, Joshua, Joseph, David, help me Lord. Show me the smartest way to get the job done. Help me finish this report, the two presentations, the proposal e.t.c. Help me to be a better steward of the resources you have given me. Help me to be a better daughter, sister, friend e.t.c. Help me Lord. Like David, my help comes from you O Lord, the creator of heaven and earth. My foot shall not be moved for you keep me. I shall never be put to shame but as the glory of the Lord rises above me, i shall keep shining and shining until my perfect day.
