The songs we sing.........

Share
It's amazing how one can sing a song so much that it becomes routine and the words seem to lose their power. During worship one day, I felt the Holy Spirit speak to me and ask..."Do you really believe the words you are singing or is it just routine? consider what you are saying and tell me how your perspective of what you are facing changes". That was an eye opener for me and I am making a concious decision to meditate on the words of each song I sing and allow it to truly minister to me.

Today's song is He is able by Morris Chapman...unfortunately I couldn't put it on the playlist but this song has been such a blessing to me.

He is able
more than able
to accomplish what concerns me today
He is able
more than able
He can handle anything that comes my way
He is able
more than able
To do much more than I could ever dream
He is able
more than able
To make me what He wants me to be

God is more than able to take care of all that comes my way. He can handle my issues, my fears and my worries. He can make me what He wants me to be. I love this God.

Because He lives
I can face tomorrow
Because He lives
all my fears are gone
Because I know
He knows my future
and my life is worth living
just because Christ lives

Amen and amen. Why worry about tomorrow..He said, "Be anxious for nothing, pray about everything." I can face the uncertainties of tomorrow because my Lord has already gone into my future and so there is no need to be afraid. My life is worth living because He too lives.

Amen and Amen

Have a blessed weekend. 2008 remains our year of UNCOMMON TESTIMONY.

A prayer

Share
Lord save me
I feel like I'm drowning
I don't want to fail...AGAIN
Your word says you will guide me
Forgive me for doing things my own way
For not waiting for the still small voice
Help me Lord
For I know without you
I can do nothing
I put my trust in your word
Carry me today
I'll trust you with everything
Thank you for loving me
ALL the time

Update......
He said: "My darling daughter, I love you in a way that you can never understand. Relax and rest in me. Trust me that irrespective of what you go through...that I have got your back, that I will see you through, that I am always here. You have looked for what you thought you needed to be happy and satisfied but you can only find true satisfaction in me. All else fails, but my love cannot fail. It reaches out to pull you no matter the distance you have travelled. Look outside the window, look at the sky, the sun was out but now it isn't but I am still God. I know all and see all. My arms are always open for you to come and find rest in. So pick yourself up, square your shoulders, get your books out and stand tall because you will be ok. Put a smile on your face simply because the Father loves you and all His promises to you will come to pass. Sing a new song today, let it be a song of praise. Always remember that when you don't know what to do, it is always important to know where to go. Talk to me, i'll sort you out. I promise. I love you, I always have and I always will. It's the only thing I can't stop and I can't help. TRUST ME"
I said: Isn't God the BOMB!Honestly....

Who would have thought?

Share
For who hath despised the day of small things? Zechariah 4:10a (KJV)

Brothers (and sisters!)I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I PRESS ON towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus Phillipians 3:13-14 (NIV) brackets and capitals mine

For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you, declares the Lord, "plans to PROSPER you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a FUTURE. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) capitals mine

Who would have thought....

that the orphaned, captive of today would be a queen tomorrow (Esther)
that the ones called barren would have cause to laugh (Sarah, Hannah, Elizabeth)
that the one who stuttered would be bold enough to face Pharoah (Moses)
that the one who denied Christ would speak for Him and die for Him (Peter)
that the foreign widow would have a reason to smile again (Ruth)
that the tanned sherperd boy, forgotten by his own father would reign as king (David)
that after 34 years of paralysis, he would walk home carrying what had been carrying him (thanks, 30+!) (the ex-paralytic!)
that the one who went through the pit, slavery and prison would end up in the palace (Joeseph)
that irrespective of how your today seems, your TOMORROW will be greater as you walk with the Almighty, the TURN IT AROUND God. He is an UNCHANGING CHANGER. He does not change but there is no situation He cannot change.

Today, looking at our lives there might be a great discrepancy between what He has promised and what we are actually experiencing but He has asked us not to despise these days, they are days of small beginnings but thank God because He has greater plans in store for us in our future. We all have made mistakes but let's not let that stop us. Forget the mistakes of yesterday and press on towards what is ahead. There is breakthrough in front of you, there is a testimony in front of you, there is VICTORY in front of you.

Who would have thought, eh?!

Remain blessed and highly favoured. 2008 continues to remain our year of uncommon testimony in the mighty name of Jesus.

Your latter will be greater than your past
You will be blessed, more than you can ask
In spite of all that has been done
The best is yet to come
And your latter will be greater
Your latter will be greater than your past

Possibilities

Share
im·pos·si·ble: not possible; unable to be, exist, happen, unable to be done, incapable of being true (Dictionary.com)

Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God ALL things are possible Matthew 19:26 (NIV)

June is our month of POSSIBILITIES at KICC. All that has been impossible with man is now possible with God. Let us think about the challenges that are facing us right now, how big they seem, how immovable they appear to be and let us remember that we serve a GOD who is bigger and will make those impossible things become POSSIBLE!

It was supposed to be impossible to have a child at that age, ask Sarah and Elizabeth
It was supposed to be impossible to walk on water, ask Peter
It was supposed to be impossible for a dead girl to come back to life, ask Jairus's daughter
It was supposed to be impossible to be raised from the dead after burial, ask Lazarus
It was supposed to be impossible to feed 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fish, ask those who partook of the meal
It was supposed to be impossible for him to walk again, ask the paralytic
It was supposed to be impossible for an 'immigrant'ex-con to become a Prime Minister, ask Joeseph
It was supposed to be impossible for water to turn to wine, ask the bridegroom at Cana
It is supposed to be impossible for that dream you have on the inside to be birthed into reality but is it really? I'm asking you!

The Bible is full of impossible situations turning around to become possible. We call them MIRACLES. That God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Let's exercise our faith muscles and dare to believe that those dreams He has given us will come to pass irrespective of how impossible they may seem in the realm of the natural. It is well.

2008 continues to remain our year of UNCOMMON testimonies. Keep me in your prayers.

Remain blessed and highly favoured

a psalm

Share
A Psalm by Believer when she hit rock bottom and realised the only direction for help was from above

O Lord it is unto you
I lift up my eyes
and my soul and my hands
I lift up myself
For I have sunk to the depths
I smile to the world
But I cry on the inside
I feel overwhelmed
and am heavy with thought (Selah)
But through the darkness
the light of your word shines through
you said you are the I AM
Jehovah Shammah, ever present
Jehovah Shalom, Prince of Peace
Jehovah Tsikendu, my righteousness
Jehovah Rohi, my Shepherd
You are with me always
I can never hide from your presence
so I receive the strength i need
to overcome this day
and I will rejoice
because those who know their God
are strong and do exploits
Amen

I Dare you to.........Praise

Share
I will exalt you, my God the King;I will praise your name for ever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom. One generation will commend your works to another;they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. Psalm 145:1-5 (NIV) Bold mine

I asked; "What is praise?". He replied, "praise is an ATTITUDE that acknowledges that all that you are, all that you do and all that you have is all due to the fact that I love you and will always uphold my word concerning you and no, it isn't the fast songs you sing at the beginning of service"!!

I just noticed this morning that the last few psalms have to do with praising the Lord. So many times, the psalmist says "I will praise you". We can only praise God when we meditate on His wonderful works. I tend to worry about so many things and for a while I've not really been in a happy place but TODAY I decided to meditate on His wonderful works in my life.

He has...
redeemed me and adopted me into His family
made me fearfully and wonderfully
kept me alive and well
provided me with shelter and enough food to eat
kept my family safe and sound
created this earth with just the right concentration of oxygen in the atmosphere for me to breathe
given me a job
has answered my prayers
supplied me with talents
put the enemy to shame on my behalf on so many occasions
given me the ability to also be a blessing in a small way
given me the Holy Spirit who takes me from natural to supernatural
blessed me with a pastor who ministers into my life for TRANSFORMATION
forgiven me and taken me back each time I have strayed
connected me with people who have been such a blessing

Not everything in my life is the way that I want it to be, I know I'm not where I should be but I praise Him because when I look back, I can surely say He has been faithful. He has brought me from a mighty long way and I know that He still has a lot in store for me as long as I choose to walk in the way He has prepared for me. If you have time, meditate on Psalm 145, the psalmist does a better job in expressing his praise.

So, I DARE YOU to praise Him today as if you have received the answer to that one thing you have been believing God for. It is well. Remain blessed and highly favoured. 2008 continues to remain our year of UNCOMMON TESTIMONY.

Come and join me sing hallelujah
Jehovah Jireh has done me well

.....................................................................................
He'll do it again, He'll do it again
Yes, He will do it AGAIN
Just take a look at where you are NOW
and where you've been
He'll ALWAYS come through
For us
He's the same now as then
Don't you know God cannot change
We may not know HOW, we may not know WHEN
But He'll do it AGAIN
